Default Strummers - Favorite Guitars & Strings

Question for all the strummers out there, what is your favorite guitar and string combination?

Martin D-35 with Martin Lifespan strings.
Great combination for strumming.

I really like my HD-28 and my D-18.

Almost any strings sound great on them but I recently bought a bunch of Daddario EXP19 (bluegrass) and EXP16 (light).

I've also used Martin Retro LJ on the D-18 and like those also.

Well, since we're talking about strumming you should probably add picks to the mix too!
For me: Yamaha FS5 with Elixir Nanos and Jim Dunlop Green Tortex .88.

Guitar would be a rosewood backed Jumbo or Dread, from Gibson or Martin. I now have 3 rosewood and only 1 mahogany. Favorite would depend on my mood, but probably the D-41.

Strings would be mostly Phosphor/Bronze with some experimentation into 80-20s. The rosewoods have light gauge strings and the Hog has D'Addario Bluegrass.

I'm primarily a strummer, and generally play dreads, which are typically great strummers. One of the best strummers I use to play, however, was a Taylor GS8 (Grand Symphony body with Rosewood/Spruce). Those GS's are great strummers too. I used Elixir PB mediums on the GS8, and on all the dreads I've owned. I know they are not everyone's cup of tea, but they work great for me!

All three of mine are Dreads and I'm a strummer 90% of the time but I put different strings on each:

Gibson J15: D'Addario XT Phosphor Bronze LT
Martin DCPA-4 Siris: Martin Authentic SP Phosphore Bronze LT
Martin DRS-2: Martin Authentic Lifespan Phosphore Bronze Med.

Best,
PJ

They all work fine, but my preferred strummer is my Collings C100 with SCGC mid-tension strings.

I prefer strumming my Eastman ES11-CLA-LTD with Sapele/Adi combo. I went through many strings to find the best for this guitar. The winner was Ernie Ball Earthwood Phosphor Bronze Medium Light.

I like my dreads for strumming - choice of strings is less important to me than the guitar's shape...

Dreads work for my combined heavy fingerstyle= to heavy strumming. My favorite is my Amazon Rosewood Dread.
I use Custom gauge Newtone Masterclass with .58 low E and .135 for High E.
On my Walnut dread, I also a custom set of Newtones, but in Monel.
