Default Easy Jack Johnson songs to teach students?

Hi,
I have some teenage students that want to learn Jack Johnson songs. Are there any that are super easy? 3 chords and the truth.. if u well?

Also, what are some other easy songs to teach teenagers that came out in the last year or 2? I'm trying to keep their interest and 9 pound hammer aint cuttin it.

Thanks.

Always seemed to me like they're all the same. You only need to teach them one.

Flake
Good exposure to a Bb barre in association with a Dmin, along with C and A.

GONE is pretty straight forward. Only a few fairly basic chords and a very straight forward groove.

Getting JJ right is actually much trickier that it sounds. Mainly as its not so easy to get the groove and that percussive slap to make a JJ song feel like a JJ song.

Hey Ho by The Lumineers and Home by Phil Phillips are both fairly simple to play.

Symbol in my driveway. A, D & E with a D# that can be done as a 3 string cheat.

Banana pancakes is easy and sounds harder that it is.

Traffic in the sky is also a good one for barre chords

"At or With me" is just two chords (B/B7 and E) and the II minor in the bridge. Easy in lots of other keys too, obviously, and just a fun song to do.

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing - easy barre chord slide shifts from A, G, F and add easy C, E, Am chords. Also good practice for percussive palm mutes.

... so is Flake, Sexy Plexi, and Rodeo Clowns
