Default If you could only own 5 acoustic guitars...

If you could only own/keep 5 acoustic guitars - what would they be?
No criteria, except that the number is limited to 5.

Rosewood and spruce classical .. Cucculelli or Lester De Voe
Flamenco blanca or coral with spruce top....Jose Ruiz Pedregosa or Lester De Voe
12 fret 0 or 00 mahogany and sitka spruce.. maybe a John How
12 fret sloper dread mahogany and Adirondack (I own it)
Short scale 19th Century style classical.. perhaps maple and euro spruce... Thames perhaps...

Off the top of my head:

1. Froggy H12c adirondack spruce/brazilian RW

2. Froggy 12 string in 19th century german spruce/african blackwood

3. Sexauer FT15 in german/pernambuco

4. Sobell New World

5. Elliot/Burton classical

But so many to choose from that this sort of a list is just dreamyland. I am completely covered with guitars now that are better than I will ever need.

Hmmm... Let me see

1. My martin om-21 (current guitar)
2. Yamaha LS-26
3. Stonebridge GS23sr (or equivalent cedar topped version)
4. Goodall GC sit/rosewood
5. McIlroy AS25 (cedar and walnut)

Oh, dreaming like this can't always be healthy...

Three players:

Guild F-212 ---- Hoboken built
Gibson J-185 12 string ---- with curl to die for
Gibson CJ-165 Koa ------- ditto

And two Treasures:

Gibson L-5 ------ one of the first run models signed by Lloyd Loar

Martin #750,000 ---- and then I'd call up Larry Robinson and try to talk him out of the first fingerboard that he made for this instrument. The one with the Arabic script inlay. More than happy to trade for the one that's on the guitar now
