Very nice build and look. The only thing I can make of wood is kindling and sawdust. Congratulations!

Thanks Wordman, It sounds great! Good enough that I have built two more this year for friends after they heard it.

Growler, Thanks, I make lots of sawdust and kindling too but luckily the end result is a guitar.

No doubt it has to sound good to be a good guitar but there is nothing wrong with getting one that sounds good AND looks incredible. There not mutually exclusive and they don't always cost more. My J15 is my best sounding acoustic and its relatively inexpensive. Sometimes you stumble on one with incredible wood.

Hey Mike, they are just the names of the guitars built by Joel Michaud. The "Moon Tree" is named as such due to the fact that the top wood is Swiss "Moon" Spruce and the back/sides are "The Tree" Quilted Mahogany and it belongs to Jay Howlett (BBWW). The "Lucky Tree" which belongs to me is similarly named due to the "Lucky Strike" Redwood top paired with "The Tree" Quilted Mahogany

Not as stunning as the others on this thread but for a Japanese guitar from the 1980's my Morris B-50 has a nice Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with a Maple centre wedge.

Pretty sweet Bear Claw top as well.
