Wow, you've just reminded me about the Legend MJ mini jumbo that I owned back in the mid-2000's: bought it from Elderly when I was living in the States and brought it back home to Ireland with me. Did a lot of recording with that guitar, but then ended up selling it and most of my other belongings to fund a move back to the States when the economy tanked here.

I really was not intending to buy it until the seller offered $500.00 off the listed price. That offer along with the sellers Reverb feedback sealed the deal.

Yes, mine is of a similar format, also beginning 01. Regarding dating, I have two conflicting hand-written notes notes, one stating manufactured 2001 which I have no reference for, and the other cites 2003 apparently from a serial number search I did online (?)

I did find a 2002 web price list I saved. Your OM-302 had a MSRP of $2595 (US not Canadian).

I also found the full spec for my guitar

I think Jeff Sigurdson is still making classical guitars, but not sure about the other two.

Thanks for sharing that information.

It's amazing that in this day and age that there is so little definitive information about Legend Guitars on the internet. I'll bet somewhere out there someone has some original brochures or advertising.

Here are a couple of other small snippets of info from pages of their defunct website which I saved back in the day (the pages no longer load properly)

Small pickings I’m afraid!

Thanks again for the information.

There is currently a Legend OM-307 for sale on Reverb. One picture shows the fretboard with a "2000" inlay. Another picture shows the serial number as "00 16".
That little bit of information leads me to believe that my theory that the first two digits of the serial number indicate the year the guitar was built is correct.
