Default NTD - New Tuner Day

I received this soundhole tuner last week - It’s very nice. Going from a headstock clip-on to this little bad boy has not changed my life or ended world hunger, but it’s convenient as heck - I just leave it in the hole. It’s bright and accurate, easy to see, so far so good. I can imagine that it can make tuning “on the fly” during a set much easier, but my gigger (the 110) rarely needs that.

I think its main advantages are that
  1. I can leave it attached 24/7 so I don’t have to worry about forgetting my tuner
  2. It’s possible that soundhole tuning is more accurate
  3. People will borrow my tuner less frequently. Sometimes I think I want to buy GC gift cards for my acoustic friends so they don’t have to borrow my tooner lol

I'm a fan of the D'Addario micro tuners. Most of my gigging guitars have the ones that attach to the headstock with a tuner screw, but I do have the soundhole version in my CE0-7. I'm sure you'll enjoy having that one in the soundhole and ready to go when needed.

I have one, among the many tuners I tried and passed on. It works fine, just too small for my "older" eyes.

M19 posted just a bit farther down the topic list about his different experience.

I just ordered my 3rd soundhole tuner today.
If I could fit one in my resonator, I would get one for it.

So convenient and out of the way.
My Snark tuners are going to find new homes.

be advised... leaving it in the sound hole will leave a tan line.

if you are ok with that--- carry on!
