I'm thinking the dark glasses back then weren't a fashion statement, but because of a vision/medical condition...the clothes have a Bavarian/Lederhosen look to them...

The guy I'm thinking of wore dark glasses most of the time because he had a condition which made his eyes extremely sensitive to light, and he was born in East Prussia, Germany in 1944.

I actually had no clue. But took the Woodstock clue, and was able to google and get a list of "Notable people associated with Woodstock NY (which is BIG) then under Musicians looking through it then looked for folk singers on that list tried several and then happened on her name then Googled early photos and saw it.

I guess you could say I was Carpenter and saw'ed right through it
