Default Wee Lowden Review

I was listening to this review in my headphones and the Wee Lowden is very impressive. (To me).

I see one joining my O;S;LSE1 in the future!

Probably because of the size, but there is not a lot mentioned about them here. (in the forum).

Hmmmm - on Bluesking 777's video, it's plugged-in, and sounds like it. I'd rather hear it unplugged, plugging gives a false impression. The only way to judge it would be from a completely unplugged demo. IMHO, of course, and YMMV.

Sorry Slimey, your video doesn't feature a WL, it's a 14-minute 'guitar lesson' of 'easy songs' featuring the E, A and D chords!

I suggest it's the cost, not the size!

I checked out the Wee Lowden in Ireland. I liked it very much. I'm interested in the Wee fan fret myself but, because I'm a lefty, I'd need to order it and I'm not quite there yet.

I didnt like the sound when individual strings were played as it would be in fingerpicking. It had a parlor guitar sound even though plugged. Strummed it was nice, nothing Id pay Lowden prices for.

As small guitars go, I liked the tone of the Wee Lowden that I played very much though it was outrageously neck heavy.

Best,
Jayne

Yes, and that puppy is still for sale at 8 and a bit Canadian Gold Rocks!

Love the playing, sound, looks though the Utube is a touch quiet.

But yes, it would be a tough decision - though I prefer a cedar top.....maybe.

The next agony would be, once the decision to buy one is made - which model? I know the Plane Jane's would sound great but I have my (1993) S35 with incredible Tasmanian Blackwood and all the bindings that I just 'admire' every time I open the case and I am leaning towards something fancier - I mean the basic Rosewood is a large outlay, may as well save a bit more and get Koa/Redwood or something...flamed all mahogany Wee Lowden?
Don't get me wrong, I want to tear it up but a nice bit of wood adds to the delight.
