Default Capo for 7-string acoustic?

I have a 7-string acoustic with a 2-inch nut width that I want to capo at the 2nd fret (neck width there, 2 1/8 inch). I've tried a Planet Waves classical capo--wide enough, but seems to muffle the tone. And a Shubb 12-string capo--mostly keeps the tone, but it's only just barely wide enough. Any suggestions from the collective wisdom and experience of you all, would be enormously appreciated.

I just use a Shubb classical. Works well enough.
