Aaaaggghhh! Which one LOTF guitar?
Well I THINK I want to buy one of 2 guitars, but I can't decide which to go for. I am currently playing a 314CE which sounds great, but I want to move up to a x10 size for volume sake, get into a better wood: maple or koa. (I will have to sell the 314ce to do this.)
Forum member barkley-1007 is selling his 310KCE 2000 Legends of the Fall limited. A guy on eBay is selling his 410MACE 2000 LOTF. Both have great prices within 50 clams of each other. (No I can't buy both - if I COULD, I would buy an 810CE Cocobolo at my local dealer - that is an incredible guitar!) I have played and know the sound of maple guitars much more than koa, but have played a very nice K14CE that is heavenly sounding. Both appear to have average looking woods - nothing spectacular. I spend more time at home playing (70%), so the thought of sweet sounding koa is very tempting. But the punch of maple when I am playing out (usually unplugged) is very tempting as well. While this is not as major a case of TAS as most of you guys, its amazing how a decision like this can paralyze a normally level-headed person. Any suggestions?

I like maple these days. But that's me. I dunno which one is gonna float yer boat.
Personally, I'd go for a revoiced dread with a 1-3/4" nut rather than a classic dread with the slimmer nut. That's just me, again. Don't forget that the TGF-LTD will be available pretty soon as a GLOSS REVOICED x10 at probably a great MSRP (around $1900 or so, I think) with that quilted sapele or flamey ovengkol.
