Default Moodbender acoustic guitar, anyone?

For your viewing pleasure, the Moodbender acoustic guitar was posted on Youtube a few days ago.
This wouldn't be my cup of Java, but it might appeal to some. You gotta give 'em an "E" for effort and an "O" for originality in combining several out there concepts in one guitar.

I have NO affiliation, just thought it was a fun thing to get some comments on.

I think it's kinda neat and could be useful, but @ $4200.... hard pass.

Yes, a unique concept but I don't have $300 in my all hog 00 and this one has a lot of design details that make it much less demanding to build. Ladder bracing and the floating bridge puts it squarely in the "less than challenging" category of guitar construction.

Using a zero fret and spacer instead of the swappable nut would have made it even easier to produce.

I am a fan of 24" scale lengths, though.

The most unforgivable detail are the 4 small screws through the top to anchor the magnetic pickup assembly.

I also saw this randomly a few days ago on YT.
I like the idea and think it would be a fun little guitar to have around the house to mess with, but....4,200$ is a bit steep IMO. More than a bit actually....I get you're supposed to have 100 sounds at your disposal, but still....
Cool idea though and I'm sure they'll sell a few.

i can see the appeal to some players. Not for me though. esthetically for me its a fail all around and those 4 screws in the top are ugly as....

I find the mix on the video annoying. They've mixed the guitar under the voice but loud enough that voice and guitar are psychoacoustically of the same value, leaving your brain constantly trying to figure out which to pay attention to. Do I screen out the guitar to listen to the voice or screen out the voice to listen to the guitar?

I don’t mind the screws and aesthetics. It is a neat concept but tries to do a bit much.

All I really feel they achieve is an electroacoustic with a few bells and whistles, swappable to baritone and with very suppressed sustain (variable with the bridges).

There are probably cheaper ways to mute sustain.

For $4200 I'd think they would have at least used a Be-dazzler on them!

I used to find a wealth of suspended bridge / tailpiece guitars at yard sales for 5 or 10 dollars...
