SOLD Fylde Custom Classic — $SOLD + shipping
Up for sale is a Fylde Custom Classic built for me in 2021. It comes packed in a Hiscox Liteflite case. The guitar is in near-mint condition. (This used to say pristine, but when I was measuring the action for a prospective buyer, I noticed two small finish dings [photographed below].) I've gigged with it a few times, but I have otherwise only played it around the house. It's a fantastic instrument, built as a nylon crossover (a bridge into classical guitars for steel-string players). It is very comfortable to play. There is an LR Baggs Anthem SL for steel string guitars installed by the folks at Fylde. Yes, you read that right! Roger has found that the steel string Anthem works far better than the nylon in these guitars.
High E action = 0.09 inches Low E action = 0.11 inches Fingerboard radius = 20 inches There is plenty of saddle left (see pics below). Also, Roger set the low E saddle height at 3mm (roughly 0.11 inches) and said, "That's a trifle low." There is a higher replacement saddle in the case if needed. Bearclaw Engelmann Spruce Top Indian Rosewood b/s and headstock veneer Honduran mahogany neck — I'd call it a D or flat oval ... very comfortable Ebony fingerboard and bridge European maple purfling Rocklite binding Scale length = 25 1/2 Nut width = 1 15/16 String spacing = 2 5/16 Overall length = 38 1/8 Body length = 19 1/8 Body at upper bout = 10 3/4 Body at lower bout = 14 5/8 Depth of sides at tailpin = 4 3/16 The guitar has a truss rod. I'm asking SOLD + shipping. This is an original song that I wrote and recorded on the Fylde: Pics from Roger followed by recent pics from me. I'm happy to answer any questions you have! 7G9A9239[3].jpg7G9A9250[5].jpg 7G9A9246[3].jpg7G9A9237[4].jpgfylde1.jpgfylde2.jpgfylde3.jpgfylde4.jpgfylde5.jpgfylde6.jpgfylde7.jpgfylde8.jpgfylde9.jpg Last edited by samuelgray16; 05-19-2024 at 02:13 PM. |

Thanks for the kind words! It’s a lot of guitar for the money, which is always better than a lot of money for the guitar

Sounds GREAT
Nice playing, and nice composition too!
Radiused fingerboard or flat? And please describe the neck profile for those to whom it matters! I expect this will be gone in a jiffy Cheers Paul

Quote:
The fretboard has a 20" radius, and the neck profile is a nice D/flat oval. The post above has also been updated. Somebody buy this before I change my mind! |

This guitar is a rarity for sure at a very good price!
Here are a few videos of Will McNichol playing the same model:

I’m not Will McNicol and I haven’t Fylde my nails in a few days, but here’s a quick rendition of “Lamplight” on the guitar in question.
