Talking Father's Day Music Related Gifts

So did any one receive any music related gifts for Father's Day yesterday?

For me I was given a brand New Fiddle. I play Guitar and daughter and wife was not sure what to get me when it came to guitar, I play Mandolin and again they were not sure. So they decided for me that I need to learn how to play the Fiddle. So now I will be a fiddle playing mandolin picking guitar strumming kind of guy LOL. So what did everyone recieve?

No...my only new gift: Sausage McMuffins from McDonald's Dollar Menu. Mmmm...

My dreadnought, though, a gift from one of my sons 8 years ago, is a gift that keeps on giving. It's still a gift every time I play it.

My daughter with the help of my wife made me a card. The front has the silhouette of a strat and some drawing by my daughter. On the inside there is a picture of her and I playing guitar on my bed and another picture of me holding my son (actual pics, not drawings). Underneath the pictures it says "Dad you rock". I thought is was the most adorable thing I have ever seen.

I have that same picture of her and I on my desk already.

I received a new gas grill. But I can play my guitar while I'm cooking.

Default Strings

My wife let me order some strings, and they just came in 10 minutes ago. After almost 20 years of playing, I ordered singles instead of a pack. My GS has lived in DADGAD or open G for half a year now, but I really don't like the decrease in tension on the E, B, and E strings. I am stringing those heavy and the rest medium. I realize many members custom mix their strings, but this is a new adventure for me!

My gift didn't make it in time, but apparently I'll receive a HV GS Mini in the next few days -it's currently on a UPS truck headed to the east coast.
