Default Prestige Eclipse with LR Baggs Anthem

I recently got the Eclipse Spruce/Mahogany with an Anthem installed by the good folks at Prestige Guitars.

Over the years I've had a D-35; a DY-90; a Rhode Island Guild F150CRE; and (still have) a Hummingbird with a K&K.

I've gotta say, my search is over.

Thanks and a high recommendation to Dick Cooper @ Fine Fretted Friends in Ohio.

Hi rbrab,

Congratulations! It sounds like you have a very nice guitar and pickup system!

I had one with the Rosewood that I liked but it had a neck issue that could not be repaired and it was taken back by Dick Cooper with no questions...I will most likely be trying the all koa version from him. Very good place to deal with and hopefully you enjoy the guitar for a long time.

I just received a Prestige Eclipse Spruce/Rosewood from Fine Fretted Friends, as well.

Ditto on the recommendation to go with Fine Fretted. Dick Cooper is good man, happy to offer a fair price, and treats you well. My guitar shipped with a strap lock that didn't happen to fit the pin...Dick is sending me out a new set, confirming that it will not void the warranty.

Default Neck Issue?

Hi,

Any chance you could elaborate on the neck issue you had?

Mine seems to have a type of intonation issue on the G string. If you play the open G (3rd string from bottom) and then play the same string at the 12th fret, it is definitely off pitch, quite sharp. If I play the harmonic at the 12th fret, G-string, it actually sounds pretty good and matches the open string pitch. Interesting that the harmonic is on pitch, but fretting the octave is not.

Doing the same exercise with other strings, they don't seem nearly as bad, if not spot on.

Was your neck issue totally different?

Thanks!
