That said, from a broader viewpoint =
We are all to one extent or another "exploiting" the natural resources of the planet . To exist is to do so . The question is not if, but how ?
Alone as individuals and in single actions we don't have much effect. But in aggregate can we have huge impacts. The question is what will that aggregate action be or fail to be ?

But we can as individual at least try to make decisions in all areas of life, that reflect acknowledging that we are using resources, some of which are either finite or being used faster than they can be replaced.
And much more important I think is developing the mindset that we as species are significantly impacting the environment and need to be smarter in how we use resources .

You're not being told you're awful. You're being told, and you already know, that the world is overcrowded and if we want to keep it from ruin we have to control ourselves. Making it about the messenger doesn't change that.

When you go to a birthday party, there is only so much cake. Regardless of who eats how many pieces, or how big some people's slices are, when it is gone, it's gone. Enjoy your cake, be polite, and eat responsibly...

Uh, Mr Authentic... why the nasty comment? I simply said that I'll bet I'd get criticism for using a new BW instrument. As for "all guitars were trees, " well, no kidding. Some trees are more abundant, renewable, and unendangered. Some aren't. False equivalence.
