Default Got a parrot that enjoys guitar.

Went to Petco in Lafayette, LA on my way back from Houston for some dog food. They had a 8 month old Sun Conure for sale at 75% off. I love animals so I bought him with a cage and everything. Turns out he is a huge fan of the guitar. Dances and sings while I play. Pretty cool. Named him Yoshi. Gets along with my dog too.

How are you planning to humidify it? Hang a sponge around its neck?

That looks like a great bird! You got yourself a deal. I'm sure he's so glad to have a home too.

We had a Jenday Conure many years ago, and the little guys LOVE attention. They also LOVE the sunrise and will let the whole house know! Ours became part of the family in no time.

Awesome. Post a video of it sometime!

I remember a few years ago I'd play guitar in my back garden. Every time after a few minutes a blackbird would fly down a few yards from where I would sit and tweet and peck the ground. If I stopped playing the bird would fly away but if I played however long the bird would generally stay to listen.

That's odd....they typically don't like dreadnoughts.

Looks like Yoshi is whispering in your ear . . . "Play 'A Pirate Looks at Forty' by Jimmy Buffet."

I have two parrots. One is a Hahn's macaw which is about the size of your conure. He's almost 25 years old and I've had him since he was 7 months old. He doesn't really get too jazzed when I play but he "purrs" when I hit a wrong note (which is quite often). My other parrott, Bingo, is an orange winged Amazon and he only pays attention to the dog.

Birds are neat.
