Down with the MAN! Burn your PICKGUARDS! FREE THE TOP!

WOW I have been inspired!!! LOL Yeah I like um better without the pickguards... Heres a pic of my recently liberated 324.... I also removed the pickguards from my 320 and 654 at the same time. BTW this was also posted in another thread...

2 of my Tacomas have pickguards and the forum guitar we ordered without. I understand it is a personal thing as far as asthetics go, but with Tacomas, I doubt there is much difference tonally because the pickguards are made of a mylar/urethane laminate that are 4/1000ths of an inch thick. I'm not crazy about clear pickguards because they still show a bit, so either have one that is nice or none at all. The best thing Larrivee ever did with pickguards was to get rid of that nasty rectangular semi-clear pickguard and adapt that gorgeous vintage tortoise shell guard.
