You indeed hit the right note, and it also hit the right spot.

Thanks for sharing that beautiful guitar.

Yes you hit the correct note at the end and several more before that. That was a really nice rendition of Norwegian wood. The guitar sounds great.

Dennis, Bob, Dan, Tom, my thanks for your kind words guys.
And, I appreciate your celebration on hitting that harmonic! We were pressed for time that day and really couldn’t afford a second take. Nice to get it the first time.

Oh my oh my is that guitar gorgeous guys. I bet it sounds just as good as it looks. Never heard of Kiaat. Is that the wood used in the rosette and bindings?

Thank you Tim, nice to get kudos from one’s peers. Yes, the Kiaat turns up in bindings, tail wedge, rosette, and headplate. It is a Pterocarpus, making it kin to Padauk and Narra. The spicy scent when being worked is one of the giveaways.

See ya real soon,

Steve

We thank you for your kind words, Jamie! Last Saturday at our bi-monthly LINT meeting, this guitar was put in the hands of a REALLY good player, and I got to sit in the audience listening. It isn’t that common an experience for luthiers, but a rewarding one when it happens. Best part—the new owner, who was also there, was quite pleased.
