New sinkhole for money

Nope.

Not I.

Don't use picks and have a few G7th capoes (6 and 12 string) for my needs. And a few old Shubbs I can alway use as Nussnackers.

I went a bit down the fancy/pretty capo rabbit hole for a while, but I have happily emerged with my trusty Shubb's (6 & 12 string version). I don't need/desire anything else.

The Paige Klik easily fits over my HD-28's volute.

The "new" Original Paige Capo (an oxymoron if ever I saw one!) is quite a bit deeper than the pervious version - new on the left and old on the right in the photo above. So the new ones may fit over a volute. They certainly fit my A&L Legacy and my Godin 5th Avenue, both of which, whilst not having volutes, have a neck shape that prohibits the older version being stored above the nut.

I have the usual collection of capos and recently added the Kat Eyz for no apparent reason. It's a fine capo for $60, but the Elliott beats them all.

I have a guitar buddy who uses a Kyser and doesn't mind quickly tweaking the low E string every time he takes it on/off, so whatever fits your frustration level.

Maybe you missed the $230 Paige capo

I have been a lifelong keyser guy, but I'm not madly in love with them...always have to re-tune under the capo even when my intonation is spot on.

Both of my main performers have volutes BTW

My Stokes showcase doesn’t work too well on my compound radius Bourgeois. My cheap Kyser won’t keep it in tune and neither will my G7th Nashville. Heritage tunes it perfect.

If I recall, I’ve only bought one or two capos. The brass Yamaha I ordered from Japan around 10/15 years ago. The others I’ve found I cases of guitars I have purchased. The G7 capos might be my favorite.

The keyser style ones kinda suck once you have tried a nice one.

No, I saw that, but $70 seemed extreme. I've used Shubb for forty years. The Nashville players use capos a lot for bluegrass styles and want something they can use without a lot of tuning and can move quickly, so one is going on my Martin Dread. With Shubb, I always am fiddling to get it right. We'll see if the fancy Paige works.

I have twelve Shubbs C1s including two 12 string versions and plus banjo capo.
They do the job.
the end.

FOLLOW UP:

I received my Paige PC-6-ETI capo today, and first impressions are favorable. It's is very much a forget what you paid and enjoy the product kind of thing. $70 is a lot of money for a capo, but I put it on my D 35 and with very little pressure it did the job and stayed in tune. The hard plastic pressure pads do enhance clarity a bit, but I was always fiddling with my Shubb capos and fine tuning. Stays out of the way as well as a capo can, and it seems well made. Like a Blue Chip pick, it won't change your life, but you'll be glad to have it.

I'm going to keep it on my D 35 a while and see if it's worth buying two more for other guitars. Like most things, spending double gets you somewhat better performance. The capo does what it's touted to do for certain.
