Default Best IPad stand?

I bought an inexpensive ipad stand for travel and for my ukulele group. It is a gooseneck design

When I got to the beach this week, I found that the plastic nut that secures the gooseneck had split, rendering it useless. I tried gluing the nut with gel CA but it won’t hold

Anyone have a recommendation for a better stand?

My iPad is 12.9" with a rubber protective case, which makes a heavy package. I just stick it on my music stand. Simple. I should add that my stand is quite portable, folds, and fits into my gig bag (barely, but it makes it).

I haven't had it all that long but this seems to be working fine for me.

I have one of these for my 5th Gen. standard iPad (9.7”). It’s superb - built to withstand a nuclear holocaust, very adjustable, can be removed from the arm if necessary and mounted on the top of a straight mic-stand…

OP - What about taking the nut to the hardware store to see if they have something more durable?

I had thought of that but it is really deep. It fits over a ball end socket It appears to be specific to this application

A couple of these links will give me the ability to reuse the leg set from this one, that will work out ok

I’ve used this one for several months and love it — holds securely.

Hi Joel…
This stand CliCk secures to mic stands, photo stands etc.…and comes with a set of arms for standard and large size tablets (I use it with and iPad Pro 12.9"). It clips the corners and tightens them securely at a diagonal.

It's inexpensive, durable, and adjustable for vertical or horizontal use.

I bought 2 since I have 2 tablets (a large and small). It's still less than $12.

I've used the clamp on the extra large (and heavy) tripod stand base mic stands as well as the 'normal' size we find most places.

**edit**-I notice I'm not the first one to post this stand…**edit** It just works and is flexible.

I'm using this one for several years as well. I really don't like it, but I haven't found one yet that works better or is more secure. The reason I don't like it is it's bulky, hard to pack into a small gig bag and it's just not an elegant design. But after searching for years, I haven't found one that works anywhere close to as good. And they're pretty cheap too.

My bandmates and I all use these. I own a half dozen of them. They're great. Been going strong for almost 2 years now.

I also use this one. I love it. You need to put it on a mic stand or something like that though.
I use it on my mic stand along with a coil drink holder.
It all fits and looks clean.

I was originally using a ridiculously heavy duty tablet holder designed to go on my ridiculously heavy boom mic stand. I found that it really limited my ability to adjust the position so decided to go with a standalone stand. I went with this one which I've been gigging with for 10 months with no issues:

Elitehood Ipad Tripod Stand, Height Adjustable iPad Stand Holder & iPad Floor Stand with 360° Rotating iPad Tripod Mount for iPad Mini, iPad Air, iPad Pro and All 7.9-11.9 Inch Tablets

I also ended up going with an equally lightweight and simple gooseneck mic stand which is more than good enough and I'm traveling much lighter these days.
