its hard to say for sure. My first guess was going to be mahogany or cherry but looking at the size of the pores on the edges I think it could be padouk that has lost some redness due to UV exposure. Just firing from the hip here.

I’d guess mahogany but better pictures would help. If you enlarge the image and look at the lower left bout you can see “stripes” that are often seen in Honduran and Cuban Mahoganies as well as Sapele.

I'm with Tim here. It looks like Mahogany. But also since Mahogany is such a popular wood, it's always a good guess.

I’d say mahogany. Color wise it also looks a bit like Madagascar rosewood, but color can be deceiving.

I think it is clearly Mahogany, but I will always go with the luthier's opinion.

Has the grain pattern of some of the Sinker Mahogany that has come up in the last few years from the rivers in Belize.

I had a custom instrument built with very similar looking wood.
