THAT is the most unbelievable response to a question... in like under an hour. Amazing. Thanks. I have a lot of digging to do!

I'll bet at least one of these dealers will offer a discount off of full price.
that's good to know. I was looking at their site the other day. I went to school in Denton...about a century ago.

Last time I was at Music Outlet in Sevierville, they had a good selection of Eastmans. I remember E series more than AC, but it it would be worth a phone call since they’re in the neighborhood and price competitively.

I'm not to far from there. I checked their website just now and it's ALL Martin's. They have 3 Taylor, 95 Martin's and that's it! No Eastmans.

I live about an hour from Brian Farmer's shop. Since I am in-state, I did pay sales tax on my mandolin.

But I cannot say enough good things about that experience. I walked in being pretty sure what I wanted. Brian showed me several other mandolins, including several that were less expensive than the one I was eyeing. When I left, I was delighted with my new mandolin and confident that I had made a great choice. Almost a year later, I've never had a moment's buyer's remorse.

I’ll second LA Guitar Sales. Bought many guitars from Ted and Helene and they have always been great to work with. Now that I’m in Memphis, I would also highly recommend Martin Music. They treat their Eastmans with the upmost respect, in the glass cases with the McPhersons, Goodalls, Thompsons, etc. Had a blast playing 6 or 8 of the various TC dreads and OMs a couple of weeks ago.

Once upon a time I was a dealer in another commodity that I sold with no tax added. It simply meant (for me) that I absorbed the sales tax into the price. I paid my state sales tax every month without question. In short, every client got a (roughly) 8% discount.

Brian at Sun Valley will take it out for you and put in a new saddle. I had him do that for me on my AC422 and put in a k&k pure mini. It sounds great. The 422 is a great sounding guitar.

good selling point....but I'd still like to see that hypothetical list of dealers....cause most guitar prices seem fixed unless they're used or blemished.

Wow. Thanks for the intel and sorry for misleading you. That’s a major shift in inventory. They always had plenty of Martins, but not exclusively so.
