Default Has anyone ever ordered a custom case?

I don’t necessarily mean a Calton case, but a custom case that has a certain style that you like, that fits your personality, etc?

I’m thinking of having a couple of custom leather cases made for two of my favorite guitars.

Any recommendations of makers?

Thanks

There was a thread a little over a year ago, Howard Emerson ordered a case or two from a builder in Poland. Seemed like a positive experience:

Ameritage makes custom guitar cases. I have a couple that I had made for old Gibson guitars. They are well built old school plywood guitar cases.

I have had a couple of cases custom made in Dublin for unusual instruments, but if there was a reasonable alternative I can't see why you would bother.
I think the Polish company mentioned above that Howard Emerson used are very professional.

I had a case made for me by Artur and it’s fantastic. I haven’t traveled with it and am not a gigging musician, so I don’t know how rugged it is, but it’s well made. If I’m not mistaken, John Osthoff had one of Artur’s cases for his parlor guitar at the Artisan Guitar Show, so you could ping John for his experience.

I had my case built for a custom guitar built in France, so I had the Benedykt case shipped to France, and the guitar and case shipped together to me. The case fits the guitar perfectly.

I had a couple of custom cases made by Cedar Creek and one by Reunion Blues. With Cedar Creek both times they got something wrong on their first tries and had to redo it to get it right.

I also had three Calton cases made. There was never the slightest problem with them.

I have read mixed reviews about Cedar Creek. I have never heard of Reunion Blues. I will check them out. Thank you.

I’m really liking the guy in Poland. I am fond of the zippers instead of latches. His work looks outstanding.

The case(s) I am looking to have made do not have to be made of leather, necessarily, but I do like leather…

The search continues. Thank you for the responses thus far.

I should clarify that my order from Reunion Blues wasn’t really a custom order per se so much as it was me getting them to make up an example of something they already made, in that instance a five string banjo gigbag.
