First built or last, which do you prefer?

Neither. My choice would be one from the middle third of the production run.

I used to be the world's biggest Angus young fan and had the opportunity to buy #51 of 50 of the aged and signed sg's but let it slip. Come to find out on the signature models, they usually give #1 and maybe 2 to the artist and then still sell the advertised number to the public, so the serial numbers don't necessarily end at 50,100, etc. Talk about rare!
