Default Late NOGD

During the fall I had the opportunity to pick up an Alvarez Yairi DY-59. I read all the good things about Yairi's on AGF and had always wanted one. I found one I could afford this past fall. I am really enjoying the guitar. In some ways, it reminds me of my Eastman E20D but with more sparkle with the highs. Makes me wonder if my Eastman will develop that sparkle with age since the Eastman is less than a year old. Please keep in mind I don't quite have a distinguishing ear yet. I've just started to appreciated mahogany backed guitars, though only when played by others.
Anyone else have a DY-59? Could you tell me a little about it?

I don't have experience with that particular model but I do have a lot of respect for Alvarez guitars and have owned several of them in the past. The Yari's are outstanding. Enjoy!!

It's a beauty and I can just imagine it sounds as great as it looks. I played a DY74 Alvarez Yairi for decades and only sold it as I transitioned in to higher end and smaller body guitars. Enjoy!
