Default HD28VS & SCGC D12 -- anyone played both?

Hey Folks,

I was curious if anyone has played both the HD28VS & the SCGC D12 and would share their thoughts.

I ask as I have a '90s HD-28 and a more recent 000-18GE short scale (one of MFG's customs). I really enjoy both guitars and thought a short scale 12-fret dread would be a nice next guitar to consider. As best I can tell from Martin's site, it looks like all their 12-fret dreds are long scale, but I saw that SCGC's D12 model is short.

I assume the D12 would have a little more relaxed sound (more round sound)? Would a more comparable sound be a Martin be a D-18VS -- which I didn't see listed on the site but assume is available custom. Appreciate any thoughts.

T.
