I use Martin treated strings. They're not really coated so I didn't know how to vote.

I use Martin SP uncoated strings, I bought them in bulk package. So 1 set of strings cost me $3.99 which can survive 2 mths. I think that's the most economic way of consuming guitar strings. However, there is no such option in your poll

My main concern is tone and my go to strings are d’Addario EJ.
But I could use coated strings to muffle a too crispy tone to my taste.

The answer I would have selected, had it been available, was "coated, because I hate changing strings."

Never liked coated strings until I got a set of SCGC strings, and now have them on all of my acoustics. I voted What's Coating because I truly can't feel any coating, but they last as long as any other coated strings I've tried, and sound and feel uncoated.

Actually, they ARE coated. The difference is how and what is coated. Martin says they coat the wrapping of the string while companies like Elixir put the coating AFTER finishing the production of the string.

Generally, I don't like coated strings, but I think Martin's coated strings sound and feel pretty good. That said, they didn't last that much longer than their uncoated, much less expensive counterpart strings, so I never saw the point in choosing them over their uncoated strings.

As an aside, I've sometimes wondered whether my (often harsh) opinion of Taylor is - in part - based on their always wearing Elixirs whenever I've played them. Be interesting to me to play one or more of them with uncoated Martins or DRs on them...

Elixirs are the magic Druid formula!

I use to like the tone of Gibson Masterbilt PB 12s, but they were very hard to find here at one stage.

My Lowdens and Matons came with Elixir PB12s (and Hiscox cases!) and that was that! The Elixir PBs, to me, had the same PB tone as the Gibson strings, except on a houseful of guitars , they last longer than Merlin.....

(Just played a guitar I have not played for quite a while, but the Elixirs sound new!)

Had the coated Martin Authentic doodahs that came with my 15 series last year, would have them again except I scored a large box of Elixir PB12s...
