I live in Northern California. Drive down to my house and you can play mine as long as you like.

I'm not a big Gibson fan, but about 15 years ago I played a Songwriter that was wonderful. Might have been a Deluxe, can't remember.

Everything about it felt and sounded right. Too pricey for me at the time, though. Too bad, I'll bet it sounds glorious by now.

I told a guy that once, back in 2001, about my banjo.

He's still sitting out back, playing it...

No more than buying any other expensive guitar.

Why not? It's a perfectly good guitar. If you like it and have the scratch, scarf it up.

Well, I did it. Picked up the Songwriter from Thunder Road in Portland. I usually never go in there because, well, I know better. And the thing is I work next door to their shop.
Just picked it up a few hours ago so no real playing time as yet. I will do an in depth report soon. Supposed to be working you know……..

I had a Songwriter 12-string. Rosewood burst. Great guitar....

...but I guess I didn't really bond with it. I let it go and got another jumbo Guild 12-string.

Sure. We’ll sit on the porch and fiddle around.
