And now, back to our regularly scheduled program....

Martin owners get up at 6AM
Gibson owners get up at 6PM
Taylor owners are still up from the night before
Collings owners leave a wake up call

Congratulations! You have won the "Non-Sequitor of the Week" award. Your prize is the sky is blue.

Martin owners buy them cuz they're built like they used to
Gibson owners buy them looking for one built like they used to
Taylor owners don't get the whole "used to" thing
Collings owners buy them cuz this is the way they would have built them in the first place if they could have figured it out.

I believe the original question was "How would an FBI profiler characterize various guitar players?" And I don't think the make of the guitar would matter much to him. So, what I said about musicians being "disturbers of the peace" was not a non-sequitor at all.
By the way, where I live, the sky has been gray all day.

Martin owner- Still smokes and won't admit it's bad for him because he's always done it.
Gibson owner- chews tobacco and smokes and doesn't care if it's bad for him.
Taylor owner- won't smoke but has an Rx for medical marijuana.
Collings owner- only smokes pipes and cigars and thinks it makes him look sophisticated and not in the same class as a smoker

When Joan Baez was arrested for protesting the Vietnam War it was for "disturbing the peace" but she said it was for disturbing the war. She mostly played a small Martin.

If you didn't get arrested for "disturbing the peace" in the 60's, you were either hiding under a rock or you voted for Nixon.

Quoting the words of a music store owner of 30 years, "Taylor owns the praise bands." So I have to say:
taylor= praise band

Martin - Can sometimes be offensive
Taylor - Can sometimes get defensive
Gibson - Friends with everyone
Collings - Haven't been invited to any socialite functions yet so I don't know any.

I thought I was a proud typical Taylor owner but it appears I fit NONE but just one stereotype (praise leader). I should either start buying Collings guitars or change my way of life and become a real Taylor owner LOL.
