I took lessons as a kid. I was about 10. My parents bought me a small nylon string guitar - which I still have. It's about 50 years old at this point.

I am the original owner of a Morris F-10 purchased new in 1972. It still plays OK and has endured a lot in its years. Currently on loan to my son. Dead on copy of a Martin 000-18 except for the plywood construction. Amazingly it has a wonderful even tone.

Default 1935 Gibson L-00

Picked this 1935 Gibson L-00 up at Gruhn Guitars. It's in superb condition. Here's a video to hear what it sounds like:

I've got a Silvertone electric that my Dad bought new from Sears sometime in the 50"s.It's a hollow body, shaped like a Les Paul, but a little bigger sized. It has some kind of Humbucker type pickups in it.It's completely original,he was the type-"if it ain't broke,DON'T BREAK (FIX) IT".
I remember in the 70's,trying hard to learn Johnny B Good on it,LOT'S of fun!
I also have a Harmony Soverign(sp. chk).My uncle bought it new after he got out of the service. My aunt guessed around 1957.It's still suprisingly playable, and sounds pretty good, and setup good.

1969 laramie. Was my dads when he was gigging back in the 70's.
It's poorly made and bulky but it's got great sound to it. Which is odd considering the amount of lacquer it has on it!

I am the original owner of a 1969 Gibson J-50 - now 41 years old and I still play it. its a real strummer, given the narrow string spacing.

But I have to double check the serial number again to that site that dates your Guild. I thought I bought it when I was 20 or 21, not 23. It stinks getting old, I can't even remember!
My dad bought me a Stella acoustic by Harmony or vise versa when I was about 8 years old. That would make it about 46 years old. It sits in my closet and would need lots of work for it to play well but as old as it is I bet it would sound great for a smaller size guitar!! Bob Trice Rockwell NC

My oldest is a Martin O18-T. Tuned GDAE. It was given to me by the owner of the company that I work for, he ordered 2 of them from Martin that year.
