Default TAMA TK-50 serial number

Hello, I bought a TAMA guitar from the 1970s and I would like to ask for any information that will help decipher the exact production date.

Greetings from Poland

Hi,

I am not aware of any direct way of decoding the serial number, but information suggests that serial numbers very close to yours are dated 1977 - 79, which corresponds with the other info I found which says TK-50 model was only made in 1977. Indeed, the TK-50 model appears in a 1977 catalog but not in the 1978 one.

Hope that helps,
Clive
