The X7 is a truly remarkable instrument. My new X7 nylon string electric is the only guitar that I've ever considered as my only guitar.

I am not so sure that I am totally happy with the loss of some of the bass but there is still plenty to go around.

I am so happy with this guitar that I am neglecting my others (at least for the time being). Jim, are you loving your X7 Nylon too?

My X7 nylon is easiest playing guitar I've played. Basses boom for a small guitar (louder than my X7 steel-string). Trebles not so much, even with carbon strings (X7 steel-string is more balanced). So if a bone saddle could balance things, that would be great.

Would that be like a dedicated wood guitar player just discovering the delights of carbon fiber? I guess you'd have to go back and edit a lot of posts.

I have tried most of those in your string collage, and settled on the Martin Retro's.
Playing on my RainSong HDR1000
Regarding the Martin Retro's:
Med, 13-56,(if I was only strumming or flat picking, they would be the choice.
Light's 12-54, Great tone but playing up the neck my hand/arm tires quickly.
Custom Lights 11-52's, I use most of the time. Easier on my left hand & arm.
I do have some extra lights to test 10-47 (not ready to test those quite yet)

Of those other strings, I like the PolyWebs 12-53
The D'Addario EXP26 sounded and played nice but they faded fast in comparison to the PolyWebs and the Retro's.

I prefer blueberry waffles as well!

Jim,
The bone saddle did balance the sound. It lost the boomy bass and gained lively trebles.

I use the Retro's on my CA, tried the Aluminum Bronze but they were way to bright for my tastes on that guitar.
