Played some Rainsongs Sat.
As per my last post, I was able to play a few Rainsong guitars. The one I am strongly thinking about is the CH-om1000. The sound and the price will be the best fit. I was impressed at how the guitars sounded. Thanks all for the input. Now just waiting for the tax return!

I'm betting that DHart will be impressed with your choice! I have similar models, the Shorty (which has the OM body) and the CH-WS (slightly larger body in the same series).
Did the shop you visit have a decent variety of models to choose from? |

CH-OM is a great choice. My Rainsong is a classic series WS-1000. The WS is just a little more -- louder, bolder -- but that is not best for everyone. Those new C-H models are a real sweet spot in the value / performance spectrum.
Years ago someone visited my house to A-B an OM-1000 with my WS-1000 before she bought the OM. Either option is a winner...... congrats on your choice. |

CH-OM is an incredible deal for the cost. Its definitely one of my favorite Rainsongs.

Just bought a CH-OM1000NS after playing a friends that just got one. Very impressed, loud with a deep bass and very balanced. Loved the neck profile as well.
