Default Andy Drake - Woodwork

Hey guys

The lady gave me a pleasant birthday surprise - Andy Drake’s album Woodwork.

Other than it being Kicking Mule 184 I have absolutely zero information on this artist.

It looks like he’s playing a Guild Acoustic from the album cover

Does anyone know anything about ol andy or this record?

It has a clean minimal finger style guitar tone that’s remnicient of the Lindsay buckingham finger styles. Very pleasant listen with great attention to the bass notes, just would love to know more.

J

Hi everyone, Andy Drake here.
It took me some years to notice this thread but better late than never, right?
I'm still playing music in the SF Bay Area and would be happy to chat about guitar stuff.
Cheers!

You’re right on the money there. Jorma was and is a huge influence on my playing. I was 16 when I heard Hesitation Blues from the live Hot Tuna album, that would be where my guitar playing journey began. I included a thank you to Jorma in the liner notes of my record too.
If you’re interested in listening to some more current stuff, I would humbly offer my website Drakemusic.net
