Default EML Picks Redux

On the 29th, I'm doing a fiction reading in Indianapolis. If HHP shows up, the drinks are on me, and my book will be free. I had not heard of EML Picks until his post a few weeks ago, but my first one arrived this morning, a Standard Rounded Casein 1.5 mm. To state it simply, I have not played with a more satisfying pick, period. I'll be ordering more.

I don't have the best grip, but still this pick does not slip. I've got a couple of old TS picks, and the sound coming off this EML is so close as to be indistinguishable, at least to my ear. I love it. I can't say enough. I'm so happy when I find something this good, whether it's a pick, a beer, a pair of leather shoes, a first-rate novel or whatever. This is just a magnificent product, and my hat's off to the folks who made it.

Hey, Harry, That's wonderful! It's at Indiana University-Purdue University. I'll contact the organizer on Monday and get a precise location. I just ordered another casein and a PEEK. So glad I saw your original post. It'll be great to meet you. Cheers, Steve

I’m another victim of HHP’s recommendation.

Originally ordered a 2.5mm casein and a PEEK.

I love the 2.5 casein, the PEEK, not so much.

I followed up and made a second order for a 1.5 and a 6mm casein.

They showed up yesterday. The 6mm is wonderful.

I found after injuring my thumb a few years ago, and stumbling onto a 10mm pick, that I needed a thicker pick in order to let my injured thumb relax, that I stuck with thick picks ever since, but more typically anywhere from 1.5-4mm.

Good news for EML.

Casein is a magical material. I doubt we will ever find a man-made equivalent to genuine TS. My personal favorite as a player.

Wish someone would get one of the polyester fiber picks, curious as to how they sound.

I just ordered some. I meant to order some after reading the last thread.

I have some BC's, and I really like them.

Glad you found a pick you love, Steve!

And best of luck on your readings. I graduated from Purdue University in W. Lafayette, IN back in 1970 with my engineering degree. I miss that place!

Thanks, Glenn. I'm looking forward to visiting there again. I have a soft spot for Indiana but haven't been in the state for many years.
