Default NGD - the waiting is the hardest part

New custom build is all set and ready to go. And I can't get to the shop to pick it up until April 5. Gonna be a long eleven days.

Whoa that is beautiful! BRZ for the back and sides? What's the top, looks like tight grained Sitka. Very nice!

Back and sides are santos rosewood or pau ferro or morado depending on your name of choice. Top is tight grain Sitka with some bear claw pattern in it.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not familiar with the builder, can you educate us?

The guitar is a Caston Guitar built by Richard Kluttz from Concord, NC. Richard has run a frame and art shop for many years. Several years ago, he decided to try his woodworking skills on guitar building. He had five or six guitars on hand in his shop when I visited. I played them all, came close to buying one but ultimately, there was something about being able to pick the exact wood and accessories for my guitar that really appealed to me. All told, about a five month process from order to completion.

I'll post more pics and try at some recordings once I pick it up.

Think of it this way: the waiting builds up the anticipation. And, like a good meal, the anticipation ultimately leads up to a more robust experience once you receive the goods!

Probably only makes things worse for you though. Sorry 'bout that! Really is an attractive instrument. Hope she is all you hope for.

Gorgeous guitar! Pau ferro is a terrific wood - visually and sonically - and has risen substantially in price. Admire all you guys who have the ability to wait it out, but impulse buying has its rewards as well
