I watch the Tony Paolocastro YouTube video on how to change strings, pour myself a bourbon on the rocks and change the strings with my guitar on the couch and me butt in my camping chair.

I change mine on the dinning room table. I place a folded beach towel on the table to protect the table and the guitar.
The head stock is to my left. At least it was that way the last couple of times I changed strings.
