Yairi FYM66HD FST2 or sight-unseen FST6
I’ve been on the lookout for a Honduran Yairi (FYM66HD) to try and found one at a local shop… been on the wall for a year or two and has her share of playing marks and a little bridge chip. Listed basically in the same price category as new ~$3k
Love the voicing, love the neck, and I would’ve had a minor existential crisis if she would have had a fresh set of strings on. So now I’m debating ordering one of the ‘24 FST6 ones  but I’m having a hard time finding a straight comparison of FST2 to FST6 in voicing. According to the Alvarez YouTube channel the FST6 voicing has changed for the better… Any chance someone is hanging around these parts with some insight they would be willing to share? Should I just send it and see (It IS a Honduran Yairi after all)? Would love to hear from someone who has had some time with one of the FST6 Hondurans! Thanks!

Where does that model exist, Artimari? Love Yairi, but I can’t find any reference to that model on the web. I’m intrigued with the Honduran models as well.

The one I tried out was a joy. They call the FST6-braced one the ‘2024 Edition’ seemingly:

So, it’s the bracing pattern that is the differentiator. I see now. Thanks.
The video of the FST2 model in the link you provided sounds spectacular. Can’t imagine how great the “improved” bracing might sound. Wow. Roger

I decided to just go for it and placed an order for one today through my local dealer. Looking forward to getting to know her this fall!
FYI for anyone looking to order one: Backorder ETA is out at Late August/September for new builds. I opted to wait to get one as fresh as possible from Yairi. Sweetwater and Guitar Center get their next round in late June/ Early July - not sure quantity there.
