Still the second oldest guitar company that had some very inovative methods for sales and even for guitar making.

I didn't know it at the time but Rudolf (Rudy) Schlacher was an neighbor of mine. He lived 6 doors down. He moved from our street a couple of years before I came back to guitar playing in 2002.
After he moved I learned from his next door neighbor that he owned Washburn guitars. Small world! Actually I wish Bob Taylor was a neighbor of mine; but we are 2,000 miles apart. Oh well.
