Show us the cheapest guitar you own
Mine is a $39 Rogue Dreadnought I picked up at Musicians Friend. It defines the concept of a beater, yet doesn't sound all that bad with new strings. Good for some dirty boogie.

$150 Craigslist find locally. Turned out to be my favorite guitar.. no lie, lol. It sounds great, seriuosly.. its a nice sounding guitar. The neck is the most comfortable neck I ever played. The guy who set it up did it perfectly.. even bar chords are done with ease. I don't know if it is because I'm not worried about it getting dinged or playing it hard or what. But , this guitar brings the smile out of me.
I like my other guitars, and they have their own sound (different sound), but this guy would be the last guitar I would consider letting go (at this time.. never know what the future holds )

Here's mine, Irish guitar from County Seoul. Bought it from another member and it has been quite good for very low cost.

Mine would be my Yamaha FG-401 that I got for $60 on craigslist.
I put new strings on it, and it's great. I don't know how to attach photos of it to this post though. |

I paid $99 bucks for this guitar about 20 years ago....it's an Admira built in Seville Spain. Looks just like Willie Nelson's guitar without all the wear and tear...the action is a little high on the higher frets but very playable on the lower ones. It's fun to get that classical sound once in a while....
I looked it up and Admira has been handcrafting guitars since 1944. Mine is a "Sevilla" model, which is an advanced guitar. Has a cedar top and wood bindings ...I guess it's cooler than I first thought !!

Here's a stock photo of mine - a brand new in the box Epiphone D-100
for which I paid a mere $20. Made from the finest plywood in town! Sounds pretty awesome for a beater. Last edited by Placida; 10-15-2014 at 05:56 PM. |
