Most of the guys I like dip into both electric and acoustic

My biggest influences over the past 5 years would probably be;

Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton,
Chet Atkins, Jimi Hendrix,
John Mayer, Stefan Grossman,
Elmore James, Greg Koch,
Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy,
Lighting Hopkins and probably a couple of others I can't think of right now.

The order of this list changes at least daily... the first two stay fairly constant, but there are a few others that may have made this list yesterday, and a few others that would make the list tomorrow, it all depends on my mood. But here goes:

Jimmi Hendrix
Buddy Guy
Jimmy Page
Sam Hopkins (Lightnin")
Elmore James
Alvin Lee
Muddy Waters
Freddy King

Judging by this list you wouldn't guess I mostly flatpick bluegrass. But that is an other story for another time.

Limiting it to three each means leaving out a LOT of others I love to listen to.
