Did you ever notice Guilds truss rod covers are put on upside down?

Oriented that way it mimics the head stock. I like it.

Correct. They are meant to mimic the shape of the top of the headstock.

Um, that one is on the correct direction.
Often they are upside down, that one is correct though. Guild truss rod covers are sort of an art-deco style that matches the headstock. There are actually two styles, one that looks like that and one that looks sort of like the G-Shield. (and of course the 12-string ones are wider to accommodate the dual truss rods of the older models.
