You're not the first to be in the market for an orange but end up with an apple after getting your hands on a few guitars. There may be a lesson in there somewhere :-)

Since you're looking for "the one", here's my suggestion:
Nashville Road Trip! It's about 3.5 hours one way from Blue Ridge, and will have many more guitars to check out than anywhere else in the country, I'm pretty sure. Spend a night or two there, pick a time when someone you like is playing at the Ryman, etc., and you'll have some great memories of how you got your favorite guitar. Finance the trip by selling some of your other guitars. If you go, spend a half day at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Good luck with your search.
