I have to say, I'm really surprised the m80 is getting the nod over the Anthem. I own both and the Anthem is far, far more natural sounding imo. Feedback is always a factor, but learning to deal with that is imperative. The louder the band gets, you need to back off the mic just to cut through the band, that is just the reality of acoustics on stage. So maybe we are really giving advice on the Baggs element vs the m80? I'd say my band gets super loud and at volume I'd still take the Anthem/Element. Not by a ton (at loud volumes), but being able to increase the mic on lower volume tunes is great. The Anthem is in a smaller bodied om28 and the m80 is in a larger Gibson j15... so there are different eq needs to consider.
