Default what cool song did you learn today?

after a very long hiatus.. hope i spelled that right, i have been going over my old song books and internet tab/ chord charts sources... and today i learned

tumbling dice... or at least a sketch of it... not the outro yet..
the worlds greatest country song by david A Coe...
doctor by the stones..

.. so this acoustic stuff is getting fun...

what are you cats hammering at..?

Reacquainted myself with Wilson Pickett’s “Midnight Hour”.

It’s well over 35 years since I last tackled this one. Like so many songs of that era, it’s deceptively simple, and really easy to get wrong.

I'm about 10% into Yandell's arrangement of "After You've Gone". Some chords in it that are new to me, and they hurt.

Not in one day - but I learned two Eric Taylor songs in the past week . "Prison Movie" and "Happy Endings." The chords and picking is the easy part - committing the lyrics to memory takes me the most time.

I don't consider a song "learned" until I can sing all the lyrics correctly from memory while playing accompaniment.
