Epiphone el-00 vs. Martin 000x1
I've only seen the martin in person, but I love the idea and pics of the epiphone. Which one actually has a smaller body. That's really all I'm intrested in. I can make either sound great. I just want the smaller body.

00 is smaller. You might consider the Martin Java 00X1 that would be about the same size as the Epiphone. I really enjoyed the 00X1 at a store last year.

I bought the Epiphone EL-00 some months back as a travel guitar. Well, it's much more than that. Great feel and playability, and a really rich, resonant sound. It's a real looker, too.

I have owned an EL-00 since 2003, I love it.....but..... It is a bit of an aquired taste, build quality of mine is better than a Gibson, I really mean that ! The sound, however is quite bright and crisp, and almost boxy. It is actually great for slide strung with 13's. But I find myself playing my more 'woody' sounding guitars for general purpose so to speak. I reckon the Martin would have a more 'all purpose' sound. Why not just buy both ?????

Those small bodied Jave Martins look interesting and definately worthy of investigation.
