Quality, "starter", classical, picking, guitar?
Hi all,
Don't want to jump in with something that I wont want to have around a long time, but would like to keep the price under $500. Since I like picking the high notes too I would also prefer a cutaway (if that matters). Responses are appreciated

I just picked up (a couple of months ago) a Yamaha LJ6. It isn't a cutaway, but a mini jumbo size (smaller than a dread, but still gives out a ton of volume). It handles flatpicking and fingerstyle.

You can't go wrong with an Epiphone Masterbilt. I just picked up an AJ500M and it's my first all-solid guitar. I really love the way it sounds and plays.

Thanks!
Been hearing good things about Yamaha L series (not into more volume, but...) and Epiphone Masterbilts and didn't think they were cassicals. Will be calling around to see who has them (GC etc.)

They're not classicals. I think the responders missed that part in your original post.

(wouldn't let me post just that, but had to have at least 10 more characters to post, so this whole useless added statement is to satisfy the minimum content of what must be 17 character length)

La Patrie is a good choice too.

I am interested in a classical guitar. My last post was a Thanks! post for pointing out that those guitars are not classical guitars. AGF will not allow me to post just a Thanks!, since it only contains 7 letters. I had to make it at least 10 letters, hence the explanation of that imposition to somehow make it 10 characters without making a simple Thanks! more than a simple Thanks! somehow.
