Default Does This Guitar Exist?

Hi everyone. I’m looking for a guitar with certain specs and I was wondering if any of you have any information about if such a thing exists.

Under $1000
OM style body (or thin small body) with cutaway
Not a short scale neck
Solid top
Solid rosewood back and sides

I found some things on Reverb, but the sales guy has already lied to me twice, and I’d like to buy from someone more trustworthy.

Maybe an Eastman E80M, most likely used to meet your budget.

Guild OM-240CE, never mind, they have Mahogany b/s, misread specs

But the Guild OM-150CE is Rosewood b/s; just over $1K. Sweetwater has 4 so they might budge down under.

The Yamaha Ll-16 ARE (the plain Jane model, without the $300 bling) Is under $1,000. It’s a jumbo so slightly larger than an OM, it it ticks all of the boxes.

I was thinking a used Taylor 312ce . But a quick search on reverb couldn’t come up with one below 1300. And that was sapele.
Then I found this..

I’ve played a lot of nice blue ridge guitars..

There's a Faith Venus on Reverb for a little over $1000 that ticks all your boxes. They are very fine guitars, they come out of the Genta guitar factory in Indonesia, the same factory that makes Pono guitars.

The first names that come to mind are Breedlove and Eastman.

Blueridge - BR163 would fit your specs I think? I’ve never played one, only know the model because I was trying it work out what Sierra Ferrell was playing. Hers sounds good!

These days, all solid wood under $1000 is going to be a stretch for any builder.

Might be able to find a used Larrivee OMV-03R for under $1000, but you'd have to look pretty hard.

Check this one out. These guys will probably work with you on the price.

Good luck with the hunt. I have owned numerous Eastman guitars, and every one has been a great guitar.
Clifford

Edit: It’s 24.9” scale, but looks like a heck of a guitar.

This. As stated, it's getting hard to find them used at this price now, but you could get lucky. This checks all your boxes, and they are nice.

For new, the Guild mentioned would be the one that gets it all and may be more easily located. You are also right at the mark for a new Yamaha AC3R (1-11/16" nut), but it is a deeper OM body (pretty much small jumbo). All other dimensions are in line.

Good luck locating one to suit your needs.

Best,

Mac

You may need to look at a Taylor 214ce. Solid guitar that meets your specs plus you should be able to find one a local store to play before buying.

i'd suggest a yamaha ac3r (made in china) or a used ac5r (made in japan). if you go used, try to get one that has the system63-srt which i think is more versatile than the newer srt-2 (system71)..

they are not that loud acoustically but they will sound absolutely amazing through an amp.
