When I had my SJ-200 I had my luthier pull the Baggs Anthem and replace it with a K&K Mini. Also had him fabricate a new bone saddle as I knew the action would be too low with the UST gone. The bone saddle really hurt the tone so I got a Graph-Tech saddle and it brought it back to life. An inexpensive fix...

Sorry. But I would never let anyone at guitar center touch my guitars. The guys at my local guitar center MIGHT know how to setup some
Heavy metal 7 stringer. Maybe. But a nice acoustic or electric? Highly, highly doubtful. No offense intended at all. I know we all are trying to do the best we can do. It sounds like you learned your lesson with this adventure.

Default Lesson learned

It´s been 2 weeks since I left a negative review on Guitar Center Central Houston (Yale St.). Then, I received an email back from Ken Takeno Guitar Center – Customer Experience .
I sent pictures of the frets after receiving it from GC and Before a real luthier do the Re fret Job.
I am still waiting for a response, I just need a partial refund. And as someone said on this thread: never use Guitar Center repairs services. My experience with the managers at Guitar Center Houston Central was horrible (I used to be a frequent customer). I am not planning to buy from them again.

I wouldnt consider the jingle spent at GC a total loss. Lessons learned are not usually free! Glad you got a great guitar back to her deserved splendor!

My buddy refers to this as a stupid tax.

I put a bone saddle in my J45 I used to own....it was not good. Graph Tek (original saddle) was much better.

Yeah, have to agree with that. Tradition means a lot to me, and a polished, aged bone nut is a thing of beauty…but for workability and function, Graphteck is impossible to beat.
