The song was popular in England in 1939-1940 and as a result was featured in the movie, Battle of Britain, which premiered in 1968. The film was probably the last movie to feature a huge gathering of vintage aircraft. It was estimated that at the tend of filming, Spitfire Films, who produced the film, had the fifth largest air force in the world. Many, if not most, of those aircraft are still flying. The movie has sparked an interest in returning WWII aircraft to flight and has resulted in, by this point, hundreds of restorations.

Hi Colin! It seems that we posted the cover of the same song at about the same time. What are the odds? Mine is an instrumental, though.
